The 2015 Oppenheim Herrenberg Riesling Auslese opens with a stunningly cool, fresh, limey, concentrated but restrained bouquet of candied grapefruit and fresh limes. On the palate, this is a lovely, lush, juicy, light, bright and piquant Riesling with vitalizing acidity, very delicate tannin grip and a stimulating, aromatic, salty finish. Everything is in the right place here and the arrangement is just perfect. A light and delicious Auslese ready to be enjoyed in mouth-filling sips. Bottled with 68 grams of residual sugar and 11.5% alcohol. Stephan Reinhardt
