The essence of Château La Fleur-Pétrus lies in its meticulous blend of the renowned gravel and clay terroirs of the Pomerol plateau. Positioned at an elevation of 33 to 38 meters, the vineyard's identity is shaped by the nuances of its soil and elevation. Gravel-dominated parcels produce wines of great elegance, while clay-dominated ones yield velvety, dense, and structured wines.
Château La Fleur-Pétrus is primarily composed of Merlot, adding silkiness and generosity. Cabernet Franc, planted on gravel and fine clay, imparts rigor and complexity, while a small percentage of Petit Verdot, grown on fine gravel, introduces a hint of spice to the finish.
