VETTE DI SAN LEONARDO
More than 1000 years ago, it was a monastery, but for over three centuries now San Leonardo has served as the residence of the Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga family, its proud custodians. Today, the San Leonardo estate is a garden of vineyards and roses, protected by the massive barrier of the Alps, which blunt the force of the cold northern winds. It is renowned for its exceptional red wines, particularly its flagship wine, San Leonardo, which combines the elegance of a Bordeaux blend with the fruitiness of a Venetian wine. The winery was established in the 1700s and has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality wines that showcase the unique terroir of the region. San Leonardo Winery is committed to sustainable farming practices and ensures that every bottle of wine reflects the authenticity and craftsmanship of its winemaking traditions.
In 2015, San Leonardo launched a project of conversion to organic viticulture, which ended successfully in late 2018 with the award of official certification.
