GAJA PIEVE SANTA RESTITUTA " RENNINA " BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG
Gaja’s Pieve Santa Restituta sits right next to the stunning hilltop town of Montalcino, surrounded by rolling hills and dense woodlands. With its mix of rich soils, high altitude, and lush landscape, this area is a dream location for Sangiovese. The Rennina designation comes from an old place name and refers to three non-contiguous vineyard parcels around the estate -Santo Pietro, Castagno (or Castagno Vecchio) and Pian dei Cerri - each with slightly different soils (sand, clay and galestro schist).
