PRODUCT INFORMATION
Santenay Clos de Saint-Jean is a new addition to the lineup, instead of former Santenay village blend. Just as a reminder, ‘Clos’ is French for walled or enclosed vineyard. It was named ‘Saint-Jean’ after the neighbouring Church that overlooks the hill. This is a square vineyard located in the Grand Clos Rousseau premier cru area. Vines are in their early twenties and set in a clay and limestone soil.

Textbook, rather earthy & mulch-scented nose.

PALATE:

The palate is slightly peppery and has plenty of fruit with a sappy, black plum and long raspberry-tinged finish, over the smooth tannins.

FOOD PAIRING:
|
Pairs well with grilled red meats, roast pork or mushroom risotto — classic Pinot Noir matches that complement its fruit and earth tones.
