The single vineyard Rocche dell'Annunziata is historically considered the most important of the "Marcenasco" area. The name Rocche in Italian means a cliff because of its steep hill. It’s has been considered by Renato Ratti as a “grand cru” of La Morra for its supreme elegance and complexity. This is given by a very rare sub soil with a mix of bluish marl and white sand. The Rocche dell’Annunziata is the Ratti most elegant, complex and deep Barolo, with extremely refined and silky tannins
The label pays homage to the history of Marcenasco/Annunziata, bearing the coat of arms of a local noble family: a black falcon against a gold backdrop with the Latin inscription "Probasti me et cogniusti me" ("You tried me, you knew me")
