APPEARANCE:

Blackened crimson.

AROMA:

A highly perfumed and charismatically understated example of Australian Cabernet Sauvignon. Floral violet, lead pencil shaving, graphite, smokey forest floor and blackberry notes dance across layers of savoury plum skin and roast meat. While the power is largely recessed there is a sense of brooding intensity that protrudes from this excellent young Cabernet.

PALATE:

Classically composed however sporting a relatively approach able complexion. The palate offers carefully recessed blackberry fruit and forest floor notes, while lead pencil shaving and violet seen on the nose lift the entire palate experience to another level. In spite of its relatively youthful 5 years bottle age, the carefully polished, fine boned structure already offers a softened tannin profile, and no doubt further earthy terroir nuance can be expected from this expression across the next 20-30 years of its life.
